Andrew Stone, born in Kettering, Northampton on December 15th 1972 has a wealth of show business experience, embracing theatre, television, music, dance and DJ’ing. Andrew is quite simply an all round entertainer, born for the show business world. Andrew trained at the renowned Central School of Ballet, under dance legend Christopher Gable and started dance, acting and singing.
Andrew mainly grew up and trained in Norwich and moved with his family when he was 8, he then left at 16.
On London’s West End stage, Andrew has starred in five hit musicals including the Royal National Theatre’s Carousel at the Shaftesbury Theatre; Grease-Dominion Theatre; Hot Mikado-Queen’s Theatre; and Sweet Charity and Damn Yankees at the Victoria Palace Theatre.
Also in theatre, Andrew has travelled extensively throughout the UK in many musicals and concert tours, including Rolf in The Sound of Music and Hans Christian Anderson and in 2008 Andrew also played the lead part as “Jack” in the Pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk.
Music, Writing, Producing and Singing.
At festivals and concert venues around the world, Andrew has performed with the likes of Kylie Minogue, Britney Spears, Tina Turner and Ricky Martin. At the Hampton Court Festival, Andrew has also danced with the world renowned Silvie Guillem.
Andrew has recently become one of the many stars from Sky 1’s Pineapple Dance Studios along with his pop band “Starman” and is currently lead singer and songwriter for the group.
In 2010 Andrew and his band Starman performed at some of the UK’s biggest TV and festival events including: T4 on the beach (40,000), Party in the Park Leeds (70,000), Freedom Festival, (150,000), Cardiff’s Big Weekend (4,000), Manchester Gay Pride, Leeds University, Skyfest, Britain’s Got More Talent, Big Brother’s Little Brother, Live From Studio Five and many more.
In 2010 the band released their first debut digital only single “I Don’t Wanna Dance” which went to #14 in the independent charts and #4 in the independent breakers chart week of release.
Andrew is not only just a singer but is also a dedicated song writer and producer and has written (and currently writes) with the likes of Bruce Elliott Smith (Grammy Award Winner), Kevin D’Hughes, Laurence Hobbs, Bill Padley, Pete Hammond, Jorden Milnes and many more.
When Andrew hit 20, he began another exciting journey as a DJ and has DJ’d at various clubs around the UK and Europe. Some of Andrew’s recent events include T4 on the beach in-front of around 4,000 people, Queen of Hoxton’s Session night ran by Matthew Horn and Indigo in Windsor.
Andrew is a versatile DJ who can play literally anything from club classics right the way through to student anthems but has never failed to bringing the party with him and makes no secret of it with an energetic set and Andrew jumping around behind the decks!!!

In between performing and Andrew’s other activities, Andrew teaches Pro-American Jazz at the famous Pineapple Dance Studios in Covent Garden, London. Andrew has been teaching at the famous dance centre for almost 8 years and runs regular class’s on a weekly basis (please see “Dance” section for more details on Andrew’s timetable and when he is available for classes.)
Andrew has also taught a series of private dance lessons including Britain’s Got Talent winner George Sampson in 2008. Andrew has also taught multiple workshops around the UK and the rest of Europe.
Andrew first started his TV career in 2007 when he starred in Living TV’s hit Wednesday night series Dirty Dancing – Time of Your Life- whereby he was selected as one of the 8 finalists in the show. The show saw Andrew on the location of the original film in Virginia, USA taking part in a variety of testing challenges and some spectacular, daring and beautiful dance routines.
In 2010 Andrew then propelled to the top when he featured as one of the main characters in Sky 1’s Pineapple Dance Studios TV documentary alongside Louie Spence, Debbie Moore and Mark Battershall. Andrew was followed as a professional dance teacher and singer of pop band Starman from the very start of the series to end of a 14 episode documentary.
The TV show covered the making of Starman through styling, photo shoots, recording, music videos, industry showcases, first time gigs and lots more. Andrew was also followed with other various activities throughout the show.
With Sky 1’s Pineapple Dance Studios being a massive success in the media Andrew propelled into the media spot light and began featuring in other TV shows such as Big Brother 2010 (where he was the first celebrity ever to stay overnight in the house of non celebrity housemates), Big Brother’s little Brother, Big Brother’s Big Mouth, Dating in the Dark, Channel 4’s Music countdown, T4 Vinyl countdown, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Popatron and much more.
Andrew is currently filming for the second series of Pineapple Dance Studios now titled Show business which will be back on the TV screen in January 2011.
