Errol Reid
Errol Reid has enjoyed a successful career in the music industry.
He achieved worldwide acclaim, and success, as the lead singer/songwriter of the band China Black. During his time with China Black, he toured the world, sang duets with the late Robin Gibb during a Bee Gees tour, and the late soul legend Barry White, and supported other superstars such as Tom Jones.
China Black sold over a million records during the 1990s, and their cover-version recording of ‘Swing Low, Sweet Chariot’ with Ladysmith Black Mombassa became the theme for the England rugby union team at the 1995 World Cup in South Africa.
Since China Black called it a day, Birmingham born Errol has gone on to become a popular, and successful, solo singer-songwriter, working with major dance, soul and reggae producers. Errol also has his own production company.
Other than his music, Errol is a big sports fan. He played semi-professional basketball for the Birmingham Bullets, and still plays in celebrity basketball and football matches for charity.
Errol is a popular live performer, playing to packed houses; with audiences responding to is infectious enthusiasm.
